October saw Alex Hsu (ICA Past President) and Bill Kingdon (ICA Managing Director) travel to Vietnam and South Korea to engage with the local cotton communities.

Bill and Aex met with the Spinners and Weavers Association of Korea (SWAK) in Seoul, and with buyers, agents and controllers in Vietnam between 17-21 October 2022. SWAK leadership were positive about the support received from ICA.

In Vietnam Alex and Bill met spinners in Hanoi, Thai Binh, Hue and HCMC in a visit that was facilitated by VCOSA. Speaking after the trip, Bill said; “This important, growing market is developing rapidly and will benefit from greater understanding of the rights and protections available to buyers under the international cotton trading rules.”
