Jonathan is a Level 3 qualified ICA Arbitrator and has 35 years’ experience in the cotton trading industry, previously working for Baumann Hinde, Central Cotton in UK and Louis Dreyfus Company in Geneva.

Returning to UK in 2019 , Jon now has his own consultancy and is a qualified ICA technical arbitrator and ICA Bremen Quality Expert.

Experience

David started his career as a trainee trader with A. Meredith Jones
& Co. Ltd. before starting his own trading company in 2000. Fluent in French, David is an English native language speaker.
David is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, a consultant at The International Dispute Resolution Centre (The IDR Group) and holds a Diploma in International Commercial Arbitration from Queen Mary’s University, London.

40 years’ experience in the raw cotton trade as director of brokerage and trading companies.
Conducting international cotton workshops on behalf of ICA in Vietnam, Brazil, Turkey, Bangladesh and India.
Presenter at ICA’s annual Complete Cotton course. Consultancy services including advising on technical and quality disputes, case preparation and ICA Bylaws and Rules.
Project work in Central Asia and West Africa including assisting in the establishment of a cotton processing factory, site inspections, bale inspections, reporting on best practice for take up, classing, and cotton management systems in various countries.

Jordan completed arbitrator’s coursework and passed necessary ICA exams. Jordan has presented on ICA arbitration at various conferences and programs like ICA Bremen, ACSA Cotton School and ICA Complete Cotton. Jordan is also an ACSA Arbitrator and Memphis Cotton Exchange Arbitrator.
