Develop your skills and support the cotton trade by becoming an ICA Arbitrator. Our advanced level arbitrator training is the second stage of the training process.
Who is the training for?
The training is for ICA Individual Members who have successfully completed the Basic Level exam and want to continue on their journey to become an ICA Arbitrator.
What is included in the training?
The training provides an in-depth study of the principles of English law relating to the Arbitration and the Sale of Goods Acts. It presents participants with direct comparisons and applications to the ICA Bylaws & Rules and the opportunity to practice reasoning an Award.
There are three modules:
- Focuses on the Arbitration Act 1996 and its application to the cotton market with a multiple choice examination (similar to the Basic Level).
- Focuses on contract law and the Sales of Goods Act 1979 with a multiple choice examination (similar to the Basic Level).
- This is more intensive and it will require you to provide a written, reasoned response to issues raised within an arbitration.
What is the cost?
Modules 1 and 2 cost GBP £100 (each) + vat. Module 3 costs GBP £675 + vat.
How can you apply?
To apply, you must be an ICA Individual Member and have already successfully completed the Basic Level exam.
