Trade & Quality Matters in Turkey

In cooperation with the Kahramanmaraş Industry and Business Association (KASIAD), the ICA delivered a 2-day training course on ‘Trade & Quality Matters’ from 13-14 May 2024 in in Kahramanmaraş, Turkey to over 70 delegates, including 30+ spinners and 20+ agents.

The training encompassed both practical and theoretical content, with participants having the opportunity to delve into the classification and quality assessment of cotton, commercial issues, dispute resolution, and arbitration. It was delivered by Dr. Robert Jiang (ICA Business Operation & Development Manager), Mr.David Wookey (ICA Technical Arbitrator and W&W Cotton Consultancy Limited) and Ms. Casandra German (ICA Safe Trading Officer).

Speaking after delivering the training, Robert said; “It was an honour to work with KASIAD who did an excellent job hosting this training. Engagement from all delegates throughout the training was strong and we look forward to continuing our coopertaion with KASIAD and the Turkish cotton community. We would also like to express our gratitude to Ismail Nohutlu, Leon Picon and Ahmet Büyükdereli who all made a great effort in planning and organising our visit.
