With the fall in raw cotton prices and current world cotton market conditions, the ICA is working closely with national cotton associations and our friends around the world to reinforce our commitment to safe trading, contract sanctity and open commercial dialogue – all of which are increasingly important during these turbulent times.
So what action are we taking? The ICA has written a supportive letter to the China Cotton Association, seeking collaboration in that market. In parallel, CICCA has written to the 18 constituent international cotton associations to promote collaboration and dialogue while conditions are tough.
Bill Kingdon, ICA Managing Director explains;
“We hope that this collaborative approach will help resolve these considerable challenges and we are committed to continue working towards a safer trading environment in these circumstances”.
