Mr Jagdish Parihar, Managing Director, Risk and Compliance at Olam International Limited, will present at our ‘Dubai 2014’ trade event, which takes place this October.
Speaking ahead of his presentation entitled “Risk Management – Challenges and Solutions in the Textile Value Chain”, Mr Parihar said:
“The complexity of the textiles value chain with significant geographical spread creates a diverse set of risks and challenges. Many of the value chain participants need to upgrade their risk management capabilities to respond to the changing market landscape and design proper risk mitigants to protect and enhance value. I would be pleased to share my perspectives on the value chain response to these emerging issues in Dubai.”
Mr Parihar has presented at previous ICA events and his sessions have always generated considerable interest, as ICA President, Mohit Shah, explains:
“Jagdish is a very passionate risk professional and well known in the risk arena. He has been a keynote speaker in many international commodity risk management events and emerging market forums. The delegates will certainly benefit from his insights on this critical subject.”
Mr Parihar will join José Sette (International Cotton Advisory Committee) and Joe Nicosia (Louis Dreyfus) at our two-day event to deliver a series of presentations. Our annual trade event is one of the industry’s major gatherings and the decision to hold this year’s event in Dubai was to make it more accessible, especially for delegates from South East Asia. It has already attracted sponsorship from 23 companies and delegate numbers are expected to reach 600.
With places limited and hotel accommodation in demand our message is “book now to avoid disappointment.”
Dubai 2014 is open to anybody with an interest in the cotton trade and takes place on 1-2 October at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre and the Sky Bubble, Meydan.
