Representatives of the Tanzanian Cotton Board – Emily Mbagule and Violet Sebigabiro visited the ICA in February to update the Tanzanian roller-ginned and saw-ginned cotton standards and provide the latest information on Tanzanian cotton production and market.
In line with ICA Bylaws, the new standards have been viewed by the ICA Quality Appeal Committee and approved by the ICA Board and membership for adoption as the ICA Official Standards for Tanzanian cotton.
The ICA holds the largest collection of worldwide Cotton Grade Standards, which represent the current crops of cotton grown in each country. They serve as a benchmark in international trading and it is important that we continuously keep them up to date. We will keep you informed so watch this space.
