Important message regarding BTMA letter

The Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA) contacted the ICA on 18 July seeking ICA intervention between cotton merchants and their contractual parties with respect to the non-fulfilment of contractual obligations during the COVID-19 pandemic. This letter can be viewed here >
BTMA have also contacted merchants regarding these contractual obligations during the pandemic.
The ICA has no ability to influence the execution of individual contracts or the individual terms and conditions that those contracts may contain. You can view our letter of response here >
We continue to promote safe trading and contract sanctity. In these extraordinary circumstances we encourage all parties to be adaptable to each other’s circumstances and to find mutually agreeable terms thereby avoiding disputes, arbitration and defaults during these trying times.
