The Liverpool based International Cotton Association (ICA) acknowledges that there are wide reports of forced and child labour within the cotton industry.
This exploitation is not condoned by the ICA.
The ICA support all international initiatives that contribute to a safe, fair and respectful working environment for all who are engaged in the international cotton value chain, including BCI’s Better Cotton Principles and Criteria.
Today, diversity and equitable trading is at the heart of the ICA’s operation. Its Board of
Directors and international membership represents all corners of the globe and it actively promotes responsible trading.
