Hong Kong 2012 opening speaker announced

Mr Sunny Verghese, Co-founder, Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Olam International Limited, has been confirmed as the opening speaker at our ‘Hong Kong 2012′ trade event taking place on 1 & 2 November.

Speaking ahead of the event, Mr Verghese says: “The ICA annual conference is the seminal event in the global cotton calendar attracting the broadest group of stakeholders in the cotton value chain – from producers and merchants to trade bodies and logistics. I am excited at connecting with such a broad cross-section of participants and sharing insights and perspectives on the global cotton industry.”
Keeping with the event theme of ‘growing together’, Mr Verghese will present on the ‘Long Term Prospects and Challenges for the Agricultural Complex and its Impact on Cotton’. He will open the two day event with his presentation on Thursday, 1 November and be followed by a series of other informative and industry specific presentations throughout the two days. The event will conclude with a Closing Banquet on Friday, 2 November.
So far, over 800 delegates have registered for ‘Hong Kong 2012′ and, with nearly two months left before the event, 1,000+ delegates are expected to attend. As it is peak conference season in Hong Kong during the event, accommodation is extremely limited and early registration and hotel booking is recommended.
