Our most popular training programme, Complete Cotton, is back for the tenth year running*.
Registration is now open for the ten-day training programme which will take place in Liverpool’s Marriott Hotel from 29 April – 10 May 2019.
Speaking ahead of the training Bill Kingdon, Managing Director said: “Complete Cotton is a showcase event for the ICA. During the 10 years that it has been running we have worked with hundreds of cotton professionals from every continent. We have helped our delegates both with developing a network of contacts that will last a lifetime and improving their knowledge and understanding of this important global commodity. We look forward to welcoming the class of 2019.”
Incorporating 20 interactive training modules, all delivered by industry experts, Complete Cotton covers key aspects of the raw cotton trade, from field to fashion and everything else in between. The training is open to individuals of all ages from within the cotton trade – including producers, ginners, exporters, merchants, agents, importers, spinners and allied trades.
Ten years on, one of our first Complete Cotton delegates, Mike McCue (Director of Communications, ICAC), explains how he is still reaping the benefits of the training; “Complete Cotton is the perfect way to get a thorough understanding of the entire cotton supply chain — from production to logistics to trading, all the way to spinning — in a very short amount of time. It would take years to learn all of the things that a person can learn in less than two weeks with this course. It’s also a lot of fun and gives students a good understanding of the history of the global cotton industry, much of which took place right there in Liverpool. Finally, it gave me a new set of friends and colleagues I would never have met without Complete Cotton. Many of those people remain close friends and trusted business partners to this day.”
