Countdown to Hong Kong 2012

Countdown to Hong Kong 2012

There are just seven days to go before our biggest ever trade event gets underway – Hong Kong 2012.

More than 1,000 delegates from the world of cotton will be at the event – including some of the industry’s top names.
The Honourable C Y Leung, the Chief Executive of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, will be in attendance to deliver the opening address at the event’s closing banquet.
Speaking ahead of the event, ICA President, Antonio Esteve said: “Hong Kong 2012 is a very important milestone for the ICA. It is the first time we have held our annual trade conference and dinner outside of the UK. This highlights the importance that the ICA is giving to its internationalisation process and to reaching out to the world textile industry, which is largely concentrated in Asia.
“At a time when the trade needs to stick together and stand firm on contract sanctity, we have chosen a very significant theme for the event – ‘Growing Together’ – and the event programme will focus on the need for the cotton community to be united, with common aims, business objectives and business practices.”
Hong Kong 2012 takes place on 1 & 2 November in the magnificent ‘Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre’. The two day trade event has attracted sponsorship from 38 firms and will see 10 international speakers take to the stage – including Olam’s Sunny Verghese. There will also be plenty of opportunity for delegates to network and do business with two networking lunches, a cocktail reception and closing banquet.
Please note: Only registered delegates will be allowed to attend the event – security checks will be in place.
