ICA Bremen, the international centre for cotton testing, research and quality training, is working with some of the biggest names in the industry to be the first to develop a full traceability system.

Significant progress has been made to accurately measure the percentage of marked cotton in final garments simply by scanning it, which involves adding an identifier to fibres at the ginning stage.
