Complete Cotton Opportunity

Women in Cotton are promoting an exciting opportunity for a woman in the cotton industry. For one person there is an opportunity to be sponsored to attend the ICA’s popular Complete Cotton training programme (22 April – 3 May 2024).

Complete Cotton is a 10 day training programme that focuses on key areas of the raw cotton trade – from ‘farm to fashion’ and everything in between. It provides practical experience and an opportunity to share best practice.  You can find out more here >

This sponsorship opportunity covers the Complete Cotton ticket price for one person and a maximum of ten nights’ accommodation at the training hotel during the programme. This sponsorship has a potential benefit of nearly GBP £5,000.

Travel, food, drink and any other expenses incurred will not be covered.

The application deadline is 22 January 2024. The successful candidate will be informed early February 2024.

Please submit your application, either for yourself or on behalf of your employee stating why you, or the candidate, should be selected for this opportunity. The successful candidate will be female, in their first few years within the cotton industry and would otherwise not have the chance for this unparalleled opportunity for professional development and networking.

The scholarship recipient will be selected based on the responses detailing why they should be awarded the scholarship provided by both the applicant and their supervisor. Consideration will also be given to the diversification needs of the class. The Women in Cotton Committee, supported by the ICA Management Team, will be responsible for making the final selection of the scholarship winner.

This opportunity has been created to promote gender diversity and inclusion in the global cotton community, and is therefore open to females only. Fluency in the English language is required as the course is delivered in English.
