With less than 30 days to go before our iconic annual trade event – San Francisco 2015 – delegate places are in demand and hotel accommodation has almost sold out.
“If my cotton peers are anything like me, I know that they will leave it until the last minute to make a booking,” says ICA President, Jordan Lea. “Our last few events have been a sell-out and we don’t want anyone to miss out this year, especially with such a good event programme on offer.”
From climate change to the global economy, the two day programme will see 11 top industry names take to the stage, including a keynote session from Todd Buchholz, former Director for Economic Policy at the White House and a leading expert on the US and global economy.
Todd’s address will provide delegates with an incisive and entertaining view of global politics, economics, society and culture – looking at where the world is, where it is going and what it means for businesses and individuals. “The ICA’s San Francisco trade event presents a perfect opportunity to think about how the world economy fits together, from farmers in the fields to designers in Milan to fast retailers competing for consumer spending across the globe,” says Todd.
The line-up also includes an interactive panel session with leading experts from Levi Strauss, H&M, Sustainable Apparel Coalition, ECOM and BCI asking the question ‘Should sustainability be on ICA’s agenda?’
“Being able to host this event in my home country is an honour,” says Jordan. “Just like San Francisco, the ICA has stood the test of time and has survived many challenges. I want this event to be a platform for the global cotton community to come together to network and discuss important issues at a global level so that we can face future challenges together.”
San Francisco 2015 takes place on 30th and 31st October 2015 at the Hyatt Regency, San Francisco and is open to anyone with an interest in the trade.
