Registration opens for Liverpool 2021

Registration has opened for our first Hybrid Trade Event. Taking place on 6 & 7 October in the Marriott Hotel and St George’s Hall in Liverpool, the event will also cater for a virtual audience to ensure those in the cotton industry with travel restrictions do not miss out.

With the theme of Cotton Connected, ‘Liverpool 2021’ will provide an opportunity for the industry to reunite and look forward after a turbulent year. Traditionally, the ICA’s landmark annual Trade Event is held over two days and attracts over 500 participants from the global cotton community. Due to COVID-19 restrictions imposed in 2020, the ICA held it’s first Virtual Trade Event last October which attracted over 500 global participants.

ICA President, Azeez Syed, explains; “Our cotton community is all about relationships. Technology has been fantastic in maintaining business continuity, yet we all miss the face-to-face interactions at events such as the ICA’s annual trade event. We are delighted to be able to offer an opportunity to attend the ICA’s iconic annual event in person for any member of the cotton community who is able to travel to Liverpool in October.

The Hybrid nature of this year’s event will provide enhanced opportunities for a virtual audience to join in elements of the event and network with all participants. It will also allow some members of the cotton community to gather together. For many this will be the first opportunity for nearly two years.

Last year’s virtual trade event proved we can engage more widely through virtual events, allowing many who previously were not able to attend, the chance to participate in our events. I am excited with the prospects a Hybrid event can bring.

Bill Kingdon, ICA’s Managing Director added: “The ICA Events team is working hard to bring an innovative, hybrid experience to all participants of Liverpool 2021. Whether physical or virtual, there will be plenty of new features introduced including virtual Break Outs, hybrid networking and much more.”

With plenty of networking opportunities and presentations from leading trade figures, Liverpool 2021 provides an ideal opportunity for the cotton trade to reunite and engage, to do business and focus on current industry issues. The physical event will culminate with a closing St George’s Soiree in St George’s Concert Hall.
